ReplyDeleteThere are 3 type of wireless there, atheros, broadcom or intel, i think yours are atheros, download and install atheros only, do not download broadcom and intel,
ReplyDeleteman thanks a million. the only thing i havent been able to get to work was the usb. been looking for the mass storage controller for my acer aspire 3680. guess the pci controller was in the card reader driver. now my laptop is fully working now on xp. hellz yea.

ReplyDeletethere are 2 software for atheros wireless driver download and install both of them. Try to check if your laptop use atheros or broadcom, if the installation of atheros succesfull make sure if there any buttons to turn on the wireless and turn it on. report back the progress

for now i suggest use this one: ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_8930/vista/Drivers/Intel_AHCI_v8.5.0.1032.zip but there are risk, to avoid any system failure make a restore point before installing this driver. if i have any update ill post here later on.
